Genshin Impact is become one of the most popluar gacha games in the 2020s. Mihoyo gives a lot of attention to the originality of its characters and their clothes. This makes them recognizable even outside the game or by a different target of gamers.
Today we present you a crafting tutorial for one of the core item of this game: the vision. But what is a vision?
The vision is one of the main objects in the game and it is the base of the fighting tactics. Vision is the core item of the characters and causes different reactions or weakness in the fight.
Each country of Teviant has its own shape for vision.
I remind you that this version is one of the easiest to be crafted with everyday material. I suggest you to use it as a keychain, a decoration or a gadget. It would also be a nice present for your Genshin-addict friends.
It might be a bit bigger than the original one (dependin on the material) but it’s still a good decoration for your cosplay!
I used it for my Kokomi‘s original techwear version.

Here you are all the steps for an hydro vision of Inazuma:
Level: Easy
Materials: Plastic Christmas tree ball, acrylic paint, Pva glue, bostick*, eva foam, toothpick, brushes, scissors, pen
*opzional
Any problem with the material? Here you are some possible replacements for an even easier version:
-no acrylic paint? Nail polish would be fine, too. They can give you a “glass” “trasparent” effect. Since we’re going to paint the inner side of the ball, tempera paints might be good as well. Just be carefull because they easily crack and they melts with water!
-if you can’t find eva foam (2mm) some cardboard will be fine, too.

You can use just one half of the ball and directly glue it to the foam base.
1-2 First paint the inner side of the ball mirrored, starting from the symbol and then, once it’s dried finishing with the background. Let it dry.
3 This is the result after it has dried and the two halves got closed.

4 Draw the ball circumference on the eva foam and after that draw the frame all around it. Cut the inside of it.
* The pink line is the circumference of the plastic ball, you need to draw a second line which is bigger (the yellow one) and cut there.
Important note: I took inspo from the first visions that came out on stores, so they are like a key-chain all around.
But you can use just one half of the ball and directly glue it to the foam base.
5 In case you’re using eva foam 2mm glue two sheets together with Bostik or PVA glue otherwise use a 5mm sheet. In case you’re using bostik make sure to do it outside or keep your windows open/use a mask. Bostik must be applied to both the sheets and let it dry for about 10 minutes. Once it’s less liquid and more sticky you need to fix the two sheets together. Be carefull since once they’re glued together with bostik you won’t be able to divide them and fix them.

6 Let it dry with something heavy over it so that it stick well.
7 Engrave it with tooth-pick in the dept for decorating it and then cover the whole surface with PVA glue in order to create a base for paiting it.
8 Draw the “buttons” on eva foam sheets. I personally sticked 2 sheets together before drawing and cutting the buttons in order to make them less fragile.

9 Once they’re cut you can decorate them with tooth-pick. Engrave them with the tooth-pick in the dept. Cover them all with PVA glue before painting.
10 Glue (bostik or hot glue) the lower edge of the ball to the foam frame. Stick it all well and add some hot glue behind it (hot glue will be visible and not pleasing to see, that’s why I suggest to use it only on the back). Paint it all with acrylic paint. You can add another level of PVA glue once it’s painted for a better seal and a shiny effect.
11 Paint the 3 buttons, too and fix it with bostik or PVA glue. Make sure to make them stay with some hot glue on the back.
